Low Budget Productions (LPD) And Why Our Our Loveable Scumbag Chris Loves Them

Ok, it seems not many people are familiar with Low Budget Productions (LPD); Chris Seaver’s independent film company, which I find extremely disheartening. I’m hoping it’s merely because they’re obscure, even though they aren’t. They’ve been around like 16 years and responsible for not one…But three Filthy McNasty films, two Mulvas and well lots of others.

Hmmm…you know what…fuck trying to sound unenthusiastic and intelligent, I’m drunk and I’d rather say things like only commies wouldn’t like LBP. Especially since these are light-hearted, perhaps even stupid films and not meant to be viewed by uptight people who like to analyze things to make them selves feel smart. They’re comedy-horror sprung from the same vein as Troma, like a bastard son (with lower production values). Hell, Lloyd Kaufman’s even had cameos in a few of there films, as have Sgt Kabukiman and Toxie! Debbie Rochon’s been in two as well! Phil the Demon, TeenApe, Bonejack and rape, fart, shit and pop-culture humor. I mean seriously assholes, LBP is top notch!

They have an excellent action figure collection too! I mean, I thought I was cool with my Buffy action figures: series two and three, box sets, but in Filthy McNastier they had a whole friggin shrine of Buffy toys…even Cordelias!

Anyway, unless you are retarded, you owe it to yourself… no, your fucking Country, and your mom to check out the fine selections Low Budget Production has to offer. As TeenApe says, “Hell, It’s better than suicide right?”
