The awesome EVIL ALIENS will have to wait a little longer before seeing the light of day in the US. The US DVD release is still undetermined, as the film has been submitted for the second time to the MPPA to pass the R rated version, which is a requirement of Image Entertainment. After being heavily cut, the film has still not been approved.
As told exclusively to Horror Yearbook by director Jake West, “I’m completely baffled by the MPAA’s response to the film too, but we have now submitted it twice. They don’t give proper guidance and it’s clearly comic book violence but they don’t seem to get it. Bloody irritating.”
West recommends only getting an unrated version of the film. But his preference so far goes to the Anolis’s German 2 disc Set in a cool metal tin that has 2 exclusive audio commentaries and other extras.
West promises, “As soon as I know a release date, I’ll post it on my site, but it’s currently out of my control.”
