Oh boy, here we go again. According to Bloody Disgusting, Ruggero Deodato has officially signed on to direct a “companion piece” to his controversial 1980 film CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST. And supposedly this is NOT a sequel, NOT a remake, and NOT a reimaging. Okay…could this have anything to do with the recent surge in Torture Porn? Hasn’t anyone read our TURISTAS review? This is such a ridiculous excuse for money. Not only is the film not necessary, but there is also an unofficial remake WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, an official remake by Relevant Entertainment, and now this companion piece. Hey, everyone jump on the bandwagon!
