Elvira is making a comeback. Elvira’s Movie Macabre will return to TV sets on September 25 (check your local listings) via THIS! Television.
I have to admit I was a huge fan of her VHS sets when I was a child. Elvira’s Movie Macabre were some of the first videos I rented when video stores originally opened in my town. Palmer video anyone?
This also reminds me that the 2010 NYC Cringefest is going on right now — “Bad Plays – Bad Musicals – Bad Movies. I’m going to be in the city for Michael Paul Girard’s new musical. Girard’s movies, like Getting Lucky, were regularly aired on USA Up All Night.
I’m very excited to hear this! I watched every Saturday night in Los Angeles at 8pm to 10pm whilest eating pizza and cokes with the family! I had my pic taken with her on my 1st wedding anniversary! Cassandra is the best! I heard some new-cummer April Wahlin will be taking her place but that’s okay as long as the original two hour show format returns. I love Penny Dreadful on the East Coast but Elvira is and will always be the original late night horror host.
