ZOO, being released April 25th 2007, is the true story of a Seattle man named Mr. Hands that died a unique death. Mr. Hands let a horse ass-rape him while his friends all watched and masturbated. All of this was caught on film. Soon after, the forearm-sized horse wang had perforated his colon causing internal bleeding, killing Mr. Hands.
One day in 2005, a man was dropped off at a hospital suffering from internal bleeding. The security tapes caught the car that dropped him off and led authorities to a horse farm. They found “buckets full” of video tapes of various men copulating with horses. The farm was apparently a meeting place for horse fuckers aka zoophiles (they call themselves “zoos”), where they would drink daiquiris, watch Sci-Fi Flicks, and fuck horses. The visitors only went by their screen names and this lucky chap was named Mr. Hands. Like other zoophiles that describe their fetish in the film, he was “attracted to the idea of physical intimacy divorced from an anxiety-plagued human relationship”. Beautiful.
And since there are no anti-bestiality laws in WA (they are apparently pro-bestiality), none of the men that operated or frequented the farm where charged with a crime. They were however, publicly humiliated, so they decided to fight that by, well, publicly humiliating themselves again with this movie.
So this not really needed, but funny as hell documentary is being released to tell his story. The movie was written by a man who starred in NAKED PROOF and Mr. Hands is played by a man who starred in STEAMING MILK, so make of that what you will. I am both oddly repulsed, yet intrigued by this insane story they are calling a documentary. Zoo made its debut as a Sundance Documentary Competition entry earlier this year.
