If I had to base my initial thoughts on the upcoming film “The Eye” on this picture alone, it would be that the film is terrible. I cannot even look at Jessica Alba’s mouth open that wide without laughing hysterically. [Insert dirty joke here.]
The film is a remake of the J-Horror classic about a blind violinist. After receiving a corneal transplant, she gains sight, but is plagued by visions of death and gore. Stars Alba Dabba Doo and is directed by the French duo behind the great ILS aka THEM.
I have a little more faith in the film because of these directors alone, but I wonder if Alba will be able to pull off the acting part. Compared to her blue contact-wearing expressionless character in FANTASTIC FOUR, she must have actually worked at this role.
