Fans of THE HOST will be sorely disappointed to hear that original director Bong Joon-ho will not be returning to the director’s chair. In fact, he said that he wants nothing to do with it and will stand by that statement according to Horror-Movies.ca

But that will not stop Chungeorahm Film from making it anyway. And not only do they have strike one against them, but now we learn that they are using domestic CG instead of award winning WETA Digital effects. And yet this will cost almost the same as the original.

It is set to release in 2009 with production beginning this fall.
