Christopher Lee cut from Sweeney Todd

Legend Christopher Lee has been officially cut from Tim Burton’s SWEENEY TODD.

While the story of Sweeney Todd may or may not be based on true events, one thing is for sure- that the ghosts referenced in Tim Burton’s script have never been a part of the legend. Burton had received some flack by tried and true Todd fans who complained about Burton’s inclusion of these made up ghosts. So, Burton has pulled the plug on the ghosts, including Christopher Lee’s “Gentleman Ghost”.

Oh well, we can still look forward to seeing Lee appear in the reimaging of THE WICKER MAN (1973) called COWBOYS FOR CHRIST.
