I read about Stuart Gordon making a new Re-Animator awhile ago and it seems like things are moving along. He has cast William H. Macy as president and there have been talks about clips at Cannes and The Festival of Fear.

“When there’s a death in the White House, “re-animator” Herbert West is brought in to bring the corpse back to life.”

It seems The President on the United States (Macy) is such an idiot that they can’t leave The Vice-President dead since he basically runs things. House will reunite director Stuart Gordon, producer Brian Yuzna, screenwriter Dennis Paoli, and Jeffrey Combs, all who worked on the orginal Re-Animator. Sounds like fun to me, hopefully it gets better treatment then the last Re-Animator and they skip the useless, edited Sci-Fi Channel premiere this time.
